Cale has a passion for emergency vehicles. And although his favorite is a police car we got to go to the fire station and get a good look at the trucks and the station itself. Cale was a little nervous of the fire engines and had no desire to get in them ... Cyvanna and Riley on the other hand - no fear there. They loved getting to sit in the trucks and climb in the ambulance. Thank you Riverdale Fire Station for having this open house. It was a great opportunity to talk about fire safety and emergencies!

Smokey and the kids ... of course Cale wanted nothing to do with either of the mascot characters that were present ... he is still a little bit shy!
In the Ambulance. The kids thought it was pretty cool but the firefighter told them that he never wanted to have to give them a ride in it. Then he went on to explain that it is kind of like a mini-hospital on wheels. Cale even got in on the action here.
